UW-Stout Athletic Director Steve Terry is stepping down after the school's chancellor, Charles Sorensen, asked for his resignation.
The action came after six UW-Stout football players failed a random drug test. In January, head football coach Todd Strop resigned three weeks after three Stout football players were arrested on drug charges.
Chancellor Sorensen said he wants new leadership for the entire sports department.
