Madison's Steve Stricker shot a 5-under par 66 during the second round of the PGA 's Northern Trust Open in California. That puts him 8-under par at the midway point of the tournament, tied with Tommy Armour III for second place. Both are just 2-shots behind leader Scott McCarron.
