Wisconsin’s residential real estate market continues to perform well. The Wisconsin Realtors Association said Monday that its members sold just over 6,000 existing homes statewide in September, a nearly 16 percent increase over the same month a year ago.
Prices have continued to show steady growth, as well. “The median price was up 6.7% in September to s statewide median of $144,000, and prices have also gone up in all but one of the last 19 months,” said Wisconsin Realtors Association President and CEO Mike Theo.
Sales have now increased for 27 months in a row, with all regions of Wisconsin reporting higher sales in September. “We’re in a pretty good, balanced market to be a seller ot a buyer,” noted Theo. “It’s quite a change from the past few years when we see this kind of sustained growth in sales and price appreciation.”
