Clues in a fatal hit-and-run crash on highway 14 east of Janesville Sunday night are rolling in to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office. Captain Todd Christiansen says the suspect vehicle is most likely a 2001 – 2003 Infinity QX4. Christiansen says pieces of the suspect vehicle were located and collected as evidence by deputies including a bumper mounted fog light from the driver’s side of the suspect vehicle. The vehicle is also believed to be dark in color, possibly dark blue or black.
Two motorcyclists, 18-year-old Devin Julius and 24-year-old Mitchell Vance, were killed when the SUV crossed the centerline near Old Humes Road a little before 8:00 o’clock. The sheriff’s office is hoping someone sees the damaged vehicle and reports it to authorities.
