The Wisconsin Badgers wrap up spring ball with the teams annual spring game on Saturday (2pm) at Camp Randall Stadium.
The teams battle to see who the starting quarterback is far from decided and will last well into the fall.
Fifth year senior Bart Houston has minor playing experience, and freshman Alex Hornibrook will battle in camp for the starting job. Both have had good springs, but Hornibrook appears to have been the most consistent.
Saturday’s scrimmage won’t decide just who will start in the fall, but it’ll give fans an idea of where both stand.
The Badgers will run normal practice drills for the first 45 minutes and then scrimmage for an hour and 15 minutes.
Because of injuries and a lack of depth at several positions, the Badgers won’t break up into two teams as in the past.
Head coach Paul Chryst was asked what he would consider a successful final practice. He responded with: “Nobody gets hurt and it looks like football.”
