Packers add free agent TE

July 30, 2012 By Bill Scott

The Green Bay Packers signed free agent TE DeMarco Cosby today (Monday).

Cosby is a 6’3, 245-pound first-year player out of the University of Central Missouri.  He entered the league as a non-drafted free agent with the St. Louis Rams in August of 2011 and spent one game on the team’s practice squad late last season.

Cosby started all 14 games as a senior for the Miles and caught 71 passes for 970 yards (13.7 avg.) and 10 TD’s, all single-season school records by a tight end.  Cosby finished his career as Central Missouri’s all-time leader among tight ends in receptions (141), receiving yards (2,146) and receiving TD’s (20).
