December 23, 2014 By Bill Scott

MarquetteGoldenEagles2Marquette mens basketball coach Steve Wojciechowski said he was concerned about a let-up and those concerns were quickly realized when the Golden Eagles found themselves trailing 29-24 at halftime.  Marquette made just 4 of its first 18 shots (22%) and trailed 20-12 early.

North Dakota was up 1 with 12:03 to play but the Golden Eagles finally went on a 10-1 run and pulled away for a 67-54 victory at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, winning their 3rd straight game to improve to 7-2.

Jajuan Johnson led the way with 19 points.  He and Derrick Wilson combined for 34, including 25 in the second half.  Johnson entered the game, averaging 7.7 points.  Wilson hit 6 of 10 from the field and finished with 15 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

After scoring 41 points in his first two games, Luke Fischer was held to six points for Marquette.
