Bucks end losing skid, beat Sixers

Monta Ellis poured in 28 points and Brandon Jennings added 21 as the Milwaukee Bucks rallied in the 4th quarter for a 94-92 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.  Sam Dalembert added 17 points and 14 rebounds to help the Bucks end their 4-game losing skid.

The Bucks now have a 4-game lead on the 76ers for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Evan Turner had 20 points to lead the 76ers.  The Bucks get some time off now with the all-star break.  They don’t play again until next Tuesday at Brooklyn.

Bucks look to end slide tonight

The Milwaukee Bucks look to end a 4-game losing streak tonight when they host the Philadelphia 76ers NBA action at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

The Bucks have lost 6 of their last 7 games and are back to .500 (25-25).  They occupy the 8th spot in the NBA’s Eastern Conference, 3-games in front of the 76ers.

Bucks losing skid hits 4-games

knocked off the Milwaukee Bucks 102-90 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center on Monday night.  Beal made 10 of his 17 field goal tries, including 4 of 5 from behind the 3-point line.

The win for the Wizards is their 4th straight.  It also marks the 4th straight defeat for the Milwaukee Bucks, who have dropped 6 of their last 7.

The Bucks remain in the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.  They’re just in front of Philadelphia in the playoff chase.  Those two teams will square off in Milwaukee on Wednesday night.

Monta Ellis had 24 points, 7 rebounds and 8-assists, but teammate Brandon Jennings struggled, missing 14 of his 17 field goal attempts.

Bucks in New York Friday

The Milwaukee Bucks (24-20) continue their four game in five night stretch tonight as they visit the Big Apple and the New York Knicks (28-15).  Milwaukee split the first two games of the stretch winning at Detroit Tuesday before falling at home at Chicago.

This is the second of three meetings between the two teams this season.  The Knicks won in Milwaukee 102-88 back on November 28th.  Bucks Head Coach Jim Boylan knows it will be tough to get the Knicks in Madison Square Garden:

If the playoffs started today, the Bucks would have the 7th seed in the East and would draw the 2nd seeded Knicks.  Tonight’s tip-off is 6:30.  After tonight’s game, Milwaukee returns home Saturday to take on Orlando.

Bulls find Bradley Center to their liking, again!

The BMO Harris Bradley Center once again became the Chicago Bulls home away from home.  A strong contingent of Bulls fans made the trek north and made life for the road team, quite pleasant.

As a result, the Bulls jumped out to a big lead early and pulled out a comfortable 104-88 win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Nate Robinson scored 16 of his 24 in the second quarter and former Marquette standout Jimmy Butler had 18 points for the Bulls. [Read more…]

Bucks blow-out Detroit

The Milwaukee Bucks are a season high 5-games over .500 after trampling the Detroit Pistons last night 117-90 at the Palace of Auburn Hills.  The Bucks had to overcome a slow start as they trailed 28-13 late in the 1st quarter.

After leading 52-42 at the half, the Bucks exploded for 39-points in the 3rd quarter with 20-points coming off the hand of Brandon Jennings.  Jennings ended the game with 30-points and was the difference according to Head Coach Jim Boylan:

Hammond gets 3-year extension

The Milwaukee Bucks have extended the contract of general manager John Hammond

for three years, through the 2015-16 season.

Hammond originally took over in April of 2008 and was the league’s executive of the year during the 2009-10 season.  this season, the Bucks are 22-18, 3-games behind Indiana.

All-Star Reserves

The NBA releases the reserves tonight for the upcoming NBA all-star game.

Bucks guards Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis will find out if enough NBA coaches put their names down on the ballot.  Coach Jim Boylan was pushing for his two starting guards last week, saying the Bucks are winning and both players are a big reason why.

Boylan’s off to a good start in Milwaukee

The Milwaukee Bucks won their 3rd straight game Tuesday night, knocking off the Philadelphia 76ers 110-102 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Ersan Ilyasova scored 27 points and pulled down 16 rebounds and Brandon Jennings added 25 points for the Bucks, giving Jim Boylan his 6th win in 8-games this season.

Monta Ellis added 18 points, 10 assists and 5 rebounds for the Bucks (22-18).

Bucks end long losing skid in Phoenix

The Milwaukee Bucks ended their long losing streak in Phoenix with a 98-94 victory

over the Suns on Thursday night.

Mike Dunleavy’s 3-point basket capped a 10-0 Bucks run to pull out the victory.

Dunleavy and Brandon Jennings scored 16 points each for the Bucks.  Monta Ellis had 24 to lead the Bucks while Larry Sanders chipped in with 19.

Bucks coach Jim Boylan did what nine previous Bucks coaches couldn’t do, that’s win in Phoenix.

Prior to last night, the last Bucks victory in Phoenix came back in 1987.

Shannon Brown had 20 points off the bench to lead the Suns in defeat.

Bucks come from behind to beat Bulls

The Milwaukee Bucks trailed by as many as 27 points in the 3rd quarter and staring

at certain defeat last night in Chicago.  Then, Brandon Jennings caught fire, scoring 20 of his 35 points to knock off the Bulls 104-96.

The Bucks hit 10 of 22 three-point field goals and added a season-high 15 blocked shots (7 for Larry Sanders) in the win.

The Bucks improved to 2-0 under new coach Jim Boylan, beating the Bulls for the second time this season in Chicago.
