After the Milwaukee Bucks won an NBA-best 14 games (14-4) in the month of March, the NBA has rewarded them with a pair of monthly honors.

The NBA named head coach Jason Kidd the Eastern Conference Coach of the Month and forward Giannis Antetokounmpo the Eastern Conference Player of the Month.

Kidd is the sixth head coach in franchise history to win the Coach of the Month award and the first since Scott Skiles in February of 2010.

The Player of the Month award is the first of Antetokounmpo’s career and the first for a Bucks player since Michael Redd won the award in January of 2004.  Antetokounmpo joins Redd, Terry Cummings and Sidney Moncrief as the only four bucks players to be named Eastern Conference Player of the Month. December 8, 2012 By admin

The Milwaukee Bucks rebounded from Wednesday’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs by taking down the Charlotte Bobcats 108-93 Friday night.

The Bucks, who currently sit in third in the Central division at nine and nine, went into halftime with a huge 58-40 lead.

Milwaukee’s Ersan Ilyasova led the team in scoring with 21 points, and was accompanied by Marquis Daniels with 18 points, Brandon Jennings with 15 points, and Monta Ellis with 13 points.

Ilyasova also led the team in rebounds with 12, with center Larry Sanders having 10 rebounds.

Charlotte was led in scoring by Gerald Henderson with 19 points, and was one of three Bobcats to score double-digits. Charlotte’s Kemba Walker scored 16 points, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist scored 11 in the loss.

Kidd-Gilchrist also led his team in rebounds with 11, giving both Kidd-Gilchrist of Charlotte and Ersan Ilyasova of Milwaukee double-doubles.

Redd reflects on his time in Milwaukee (Audio)

February 8, 2012 By Bill Scott

After spending 11 years with the Milwaukee Bucks, Michael Redd returned to

the Bradley Center as a member of the Phoenix Suns last night.  On his way to the lockerroom, Redd took a turn towards the Bucks lockerroom, the same lockerroom he’s occupied for many home games.  This time, Redd was turned away and pointed in the direction of the visiting lockerroom.

Redd has made quite an impact during his stay with the Bucks, ranking 4th on the team’s all-time scoring list.  But now, he’s a member of the Phoenix Suns after signing there at the start of the season.

Redd didn’t play in the first matchup against the Bucks in Phoenix back on January 8th while coming back from a knee injury.  But his playing time has been increasing of late.  He scored 14 points for the Suns in their 107-105 win over the Bucks last night.
