Gamblers tie franchise victory mark

April 2, 2012 By Bill Scott

The Green Bay Gamblers tied their own franchise record for most wins in a

Ryan McKay

season by winning their 45th game on Sunday, a 6-1 win over Muskegon on Sunday at the Resch Center.

The win for the Gamblers (45-8-3, 93pts) ties them with the 2009-10 team for wins and puts them in position to break the franchise record on Friday when they host Muskegon again.

The Gamblers have four games left in the regular season.  They need three points to break the franchise record of 95 points.  Green Bay can also set USHL records for most points (97) and wins (48) in a season set by the Des Moines Buccaneers in 1998-99.

Mike Rotolo started in net for the Gamblers but left in the first period with a finger injury.  Ryan McKay, slated to get a day off, earned his 25th win in relief.
