Bucks end losing skid, beat Sixers

Monta Ellis poured in 28 points and Brandon Jennings added 21 as the Milwaukee Bucks rallied in the 4th quarter for a 94-92 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.  Sam Dalembert added 17 points and 14 rebounds to help the Bucks end their 4-game losing skid.

The Bucks now have a 4-game lead on the 76ers for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Evan Turner had 20 points to lead the 76ers.  The Bucks get some time off now with the all-star break.  They don’t play again until next Tuesday at Brooklyn.

Cold spell does in Bucks again!

The Milwaukee Bucks blew a 17-point first half lead and fell to the Denver Nuggets 112-104 in Denver on Tuesday night.  It’s the 7th straight win for the Nuggets.

The Bucks (25-22) wasted a career best performance from center Sam Dalembert who scored 35 points, including 21 in the first half.  Dalembert hit 9 of 10 from the field in the first half and 17 of 21 for the game.

Danilo Gallinari and Ty Lawson each scored 22 points to lead the Nuggets.

The Bucks hit 31 of their 51 field goal opportunities in the first half (61%), but as has been the norm, cooled off in the second half.  They finished 48% for the game.

Denver also won the free throw battle, hitting 27 of 37, while the Bucks got to the line just 11 times and made only 5 of them.

The Bucks close out their short 2-game road trip when they take on the Utah Jazz tonight.

Bulls find Bradley Center to their liking, again!

The BMO Harris Bradley Center once again became the Chicago Bulls home away from home.  A strong contingent of Bulls fans made the trek north and made life for the road team, quite pleasant.

As a result, the Bulls jumped out to a big lead early and pulled out a comfortable 104-88 win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Nate Robinson scored 16 of his 24 in the second quarter and former Marquette standout Jimmy Butler had 18 points for the Bulls. [Read more…]

Bucks start strong and coast to win

The Milwaukee Bucks scored the first 7 points of the game and built leads of 27

points in the second quarter and 32 points in the third.  When the dust cleared, the Bucks pulled out a 99-85 win over the Indiana Pacers at the Bradley Center.

The Bucks took a 60-34 lead into the locker room at halftime.  Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis scored 16-points each to lead the Bucks.  Sam Dalembert added 14 points 6 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.  Bucks starters outscored the Pacers starters 62-33. [Read more…]
