Hellweg struggles again as Brewers fall to Cincinnati (AUDIO)

July 11, 2013 By Bill Scott

The much anticipated debut of Brewers pitcher Johnny Hellweg has not gone the way anyone would have hoped.  Making his third start for Milwaukee Wednesday, Hellweg was roughed up again as the Brewers fell to Cincinnati 6-2.

Peralta is solid in win over Angels

March 20, 2013 By Bill Scott

The Milwaukee Brewers won their cactus league game yesterday, a 6-1 victory over

Rickie Weeks

the Los Angeles Angels.  Rickie Weeks, Aramis Ramirez and Sean Halton all homered in the Brewers’ victory.

Right-hander Wily Peralta was solid in his 3rd start.  Peralta pitched 6-innings, allowing just 1-run while striking out 2.

Peralta hit Angels first baseman Albert Pujols with a pitch in the 1st inning.  The ball deflected and hit home plate umpire Seth Buckminster, breaking his hand.

While the umpires were changing out equipment, the game moved on with Tim McClelland calling pitches from behind the mound.  That scenario lasted for four batters before the umpires were able to return to a 3-man crew.

The Brewers are back at it today, facing the San Francisco Giants in Scottsdale.  Chris Narveson will make the start for the Brewers.
