February 21, 2014 By Bill Scott

According to footballscoop.com and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the University of Wisconsin has hired former Georgia running back Thomas Brown to take over the vacant running backs coaching position in Madison.  Brown would replace Thomas Hammock who left for the NFL.

The 27-year-old Brown coached running backs at Chattanooga in 2012 before being hired at Marshall.

Brown played from 2004-07 at Georgia.  He was drafted in 2008 by the Atlanta Falcons but suffered a season-ending injury during a preseason game and was released.  He was added to the Cleveland Browns practice squad in 2009 and later released.
