Masahiro Tanaka allowed a pair of runs on seven hits while walking one and striking out seven. Tanaka improved to 5-0 in seven starts for the Yankees this season.
The Brewers lost for the 7th time in the last nine games and have dropped three straight for the first time this season. Yovani Gallardo (2-2) allowed four runs on five hits and took the loss.

Brewers centerfielder Carlos Gomez had his appeal of a three-game suspension for his role in the April 20th brawl in Pittsburgh heard by Major League Baseball today. Gomez should learn the outcome by Monday and will be required to serve whatever penalty is handed out, immediately.
