An Abbotsford High School math teacher that resigned just over a week ago is facing serious criminal charges. Andy Follen of Spencer taught for four years in the Abbotsford school, but resigned without comment when the school and the Colby-Abbotsford police started looking into a parent’s concerns about possible misconduct.
On Monday, the 25-year-old Follen was charged with five felony counts of sexual assault of a student by a school staff member. Follen had been in jail since his arrest, and posted $2,500 cash bond after his bond hearing in Clark County. He will be back in court for an initial appearance March 6th.
