Officials with the state Department of Justice say ten children were rescued and 100 suspects arrested in Wisconsin, as part of a nationwide crackdown on underage sex trafficking. The raids, carried out over the past three days, included action in Milwaukee, Madison, Wisconsin Dells, and the Fox Valley.

Jennifer Price, commander of the state’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, says officials were able to identify several victims of child sex trafficking, which DOJ agents will be following up with in the coming days. Information gathered in the operation will also be used to pursue additional investigations into underage prostitution in Wisconsin.

The DOJ says 15 of its agents took part in the raids, which were led by the FBI. Nationally, the FBI says more than 105 children were rescued and 150 suspected pimps were taken into custody.
