The Milwaukee Wave received notification early this morning from league headquarters that the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) is restructuring and may not have an upcoming 2014-2015 season.
Already, four of the MISL’s seven teams have voluntarily resigned from the league with the prospect of joining the Premiere Arena Soccer League (PASL), a 20-team league, which is now the largest Professional Indoor Soccer league in the United States.
The Wave said in a release that they will be “exploring all options in attempt to keep Professional Indoor Soccer (sic) alive in Milwaukee,” and “will be using this as an opportunity for some much needed restructuring” of their franchise.
Earlier this month, Wave owner Sue Black was sued for failure to replay two loans totaling in six figures.
