Packers GM Ted Thompson has been named the NFL Executive of the Year by The Sporting News. Thompson received 19 votes out of possible 48 ballots cast by NFL general managers and other executives.
Thompson has been with the Packers in his current role since 2005. He was also with the Packers from 1992 to 1999 in the scouting department. From 2000-04 he was with Seattle.
