The Green Bay Packers enter this weekends NFL Draft without a great need at any position.
The Packers have to look to eventually replace their starting corners, Al Harris and Charles Woodson and their starting tackles, Chad Clifton and Mark Tauscher.
If they have a need, it would be at tight end and quarterback. The Packers need to come out of this draft with players at those positions that will be ready to at least serve as serviceable backups.
What this all means is that the Packers will likely not feel the need to draft a certain player at a certain position when their turn comes up on Saturday. You've heard it before, they'll stay true to the board and Ted Thompson will take the best available player.
The Packers have 8 selections in the 2-day, 7-round process, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Thompson trade out of the 30th pick and move down for more picks again. Thompson's dealing in the past saw the Packers make 12 picks in 2006 and 11 picks in 2007. He'll likely find a way to obtain more picks again this year.
