A flat fire turned deadly on the interstate just north of Madison early this morning. Shortly after 2:30, people in the vehicle with the flat got out to change it, they were hit by another vehicle. Three died in mishap which occured in the southbound lane of I-90 near Stoughton road.
The state patrol is handling the investigation. Thirty-one-year-old Bradley Erickson of Madison has been arrested for driving under the influence.
