The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers set a pair of franchise attendance records this season.
The Milwaukee Brewers single A affiliate set a record for average attendance with 3,780 fans per game. The Rattlers also set a record for total season attendance with 241,938 patrons.
Wisconsin’s single season attendance record was set in 2009 with a mark of 253,240, but that included 17,880 fans that saw Wisconsin play at Miller Park this season.
The first game to be played at the renovated home of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers was on April 8, 2013 and drew 3,036. But winter weather forced the next four games to be postponed. Five of the first seven home dates of the season were either cancelled or postponed.
But things picked up as the season went along and the Timber Rattlers drew 71,551 fans to Fox Cities Stadium in August. The team averaged 5,111 for their 14 home games in the final month of the season.
