Questions are being raised about a proposed tougher seat belt law for Wisconsin.

Governor Doyle is calling on lawmakers to approve a primary enforcement seat belt law, but state Senator Jon Erpenbach (D-Middleton) says it could lead to racial profiling. He also believes it would be difficult for police to tell when somebody is not buckled up.

Erpenbach says police can easily tell when a person is speeding, but figuring out if somebody is buckled up is much more difficult.

Erpenbach says police have enough reasons as it is to pull someone over. He's doubtful the bill will pass.
