The memorial is 370 feet long, over eight feet tall, and inscribed with the names of over 58,000 U.S. soldiers.
Members of the Wausau V.F.W. say they want people to realize how many people have given their lives for their country in the past, and now.
Dee Dennis with the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary says the memorial respectfully honors those who have given their lives for the country.
Visitors will be able to search for their lost relatives and friends names, and also view a variety of other exhibits as well.
The memorial is set up near downtown Wausau and will be there through Monday.
