Sporting News has announced its 2007 Major League Baseball awards, as voted on by Major League Players and Managers.
New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez was named Major League Player of the Year.
Cleveland Manager Eric Wedge is the American League Manager of the Year while the National League honor goes to Arizona's Bob Melvin.
The National League Rookie of the Year goes to Milwaukee Brewer third baseman Ryan Braun , who finished the season hitting .324 with 34 home runs and 97 rbi's.
Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia wqas named the American League Rookie of the Year.
Sporting News also released it's American League and National League 2007 All-Star team. Milwaukee first baseman Prince Fielder was voted to the National League squad.
