After nearly 14 months of negotiations, General Motors and United Auto Workers Local 95 in Janesville have come to a tentative contract agreement. Shop Chairman John Dohner Jr says workers need a contract although Janesville's plant is set to close .
"We've negotiated a very competitive agreement. What were trying to do it put it out there so we can possibly have a future."
He says he wants to discuss the contract with Union Membership before disclosing any sticking points.
The full size SUV line is on layoff until the week of September 8th. The informational meetings and voting take place Friday.
Dohner says it's "just trying times."
