Workers at the Janesville General Motors plant say they aren't giving up without a fight, after the parent company of the facility announced plans to shut it down by 2010.

The Janesville plant makes SUVs, but GM officials say their focus is shifting to making smaller vehicles. United Auto Workers Local 95 president-elect Brad Dutcher says Janesville would be a good place to build those cars. He says the UAW will exhaust every effort to bring production of those products to Wisconsin.

Dutcher says the union will need help in its efforts thought to keep the plant open. The Governor and Congressional members are already pledging to offer any assistance they can.
