The University of Wisconsin System has named 5 finalists for chancellor at UW-Stout. UW System President Ray Cross announced the names Wednesday. Bryan Albrecht is President and CEO or Gateway Technical College in Kenosha. D.C. Costen is President of Dickinson State University in Dickinson, North Dakota. Richard Lapidus is Dean of the College of Business Administration at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California. Margaret Madden is Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at State University of New York in Potsdam, New York. Robert Meyer is President of Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College in Shell Lake.

The 5 candidates will participate in a series of public forums with faculty, staff, students, and community members. All 5 candidates are scheduled to visit the campus in May. The person selected will be UW-Stout’s 7th chancellor, succeeding Charles Sorenson, who will retire in August after 26 year’s as UW-Stout’s leader.
