Whitewater police says there’s no evidence to suggest the death of a UW-Whitewater student over the weekend is suspicious. Although, police are not releasing any details about how 21-year-old Benjamin Fuder of Edgerton died.

Fuder was found Sunday morning in the Whitewater Limestone Quarry in Walworth County. He was last seen after midnight Saturday morning in downtown Whitewater and was reported missing late Saturday night.

: Police Chief Lisa Otterbacher (:15)

Whitewater Police Chief Lisa Otterbacher says they are reaching out to the public for information about what Fuder was doing before his death. She says any calls should be directed to the sheriff’s office or her department.

Fuder’s phone was turned in to police by a Good Samaritan and investigators are trying to locate that person to find out where the phone was found.

Another UW-Whitewater student was found dead in the same quarry in May of 2011.
