Wisconsin Junior linebacker Chris Borland has been named the Big
Ten Defensive Player of the Week for the 4th time in his career.
Borland recorded a team-high 12 tackles, tying a career-best with 3.5 tackles for loss and recording a career-high two sacks in the Badgers’ 37-26 win over UTEP on Saturday. Borland also tied a career-best mark with two pass breakups.
Borland helped Wisconsin’s defense hold UTEP to 108 yards of offense in the first half, just 77 total rushing yards on 33 carries.
Borland is tied for sixth in the Big Ten with 34 tackles, including 4.5 TFL, and tied for fourth with 3.0 sacks.
