The Republican nominee for Wisconsin Attorney General says he's ready to take back the Department of Justice. Former US Attorney JB Van Hollen has won the Republican nomination for Wisconsin Attorney General, earning almost two-thirds of the statewide vote. Van Hollen says it sends a clear message of voter support for his campaign.
Waukesha County District Attorney Paul Bucher bowed out of the race early in the evening, pointing to extra money pumped into Van Hollen's campaign as a reason for his defeat. Bucher spokesman Davin Fischer commented for the campaign, saying an extra $700,000 from Van Hollen made all the difference.
Van Hollen will face Democrat Kathleen Falk in the general election.
