After being one of the worst road teams in all of baseball last season, the Milwaukee Brewers just completed another successful road trip with a 3-1 win over the Houston Astros on Sunday.  It's the first series win for the Brewers in Houston since 1997.

Claudio Vargas pitched in and out of trouble all day, working his way out of three straight bases loaded jams and worked into the sixth before giving way to the bullpen.

Geoff Jenkins homered for the Brewers and  Tony Graffanino and J.J. Hardy delivered two out, run scoring hits.

The Brewers improved to 15-9 and have a 3 1/2 game lead in the Central Division.  They'll open a 10-game homestand tonight when they face the St. Louis Cardinals in the first of three at Miller Park.
