A historic moment at Camp Randall, led fans to rush the field as the seconds ticked down at the end of the 4th quarter. The Badgers beat top ranked Ohio State 31-18. Following the last minute interception, fans in the student section started to rush the field.

Some students were pinned against the railing but police helped them over as calls were being made for fans to stay off the field. Only one person was hurt compared to the 73 injured during a similar incident on October 30, 1993. After that matchup with the Wolverines, renovations occurred to prevent such injuries.

While the downward movement continued, the UW-marching band was not able to perform in the traditional 5th quarter.

In the end, 35 people did get arrested at the game, 113 ejections were also made, many for underage drinking.
