Members of the Green Bay Packers coaching staff were being asked this week if the Kansas City Chiefs created a blue print for other teams to follow and beat the Green Bay Packers.

Can you believe it, after 13-straight wins, a team loses a game and all of a sudden everyone has them figured out.

It’s not like the Packers don’t have some issues as they get ready to face the Chicago Bears on Christmas night.  The defense has given up a ton of yards all season long.  In some cases, it’s led to a lot of points and in others, the defense bent but didn’t necessarily break.

The offensive line has been average at best in providing Aaron Rodgers with ample protection.  He’s been sacked and he’s been hit way too much this season.

Dropped passes is a problem that has come and gone this season. It’s been more good than bad, but last week’s effort against the Chiefs was overboard in a bad way.

Throw injuries into the mix and that has the makings for some problems, especially on that offensive line.

Now, the reason why the Packers lost to the Chiefs last week is because everything that could have gone wrong, did.  All of the above happened to the Packers, plus they put no pressure on Kyle Orton, and for the first time in what seems like forever, the Packers didn’t get any take/aways from their opponent.   Winning the turnover battle has been a common theme in Packers’ victories this season.

If you’ve watched closely, the Packers have gotten away with a few things because of their hi-powered offense.  The Packers average 34 points a game and that cure’s many problems.  But if something happens to that offense, then there’s a reasonable chance that you’ll be staring at a loss.  That’s what happened last Sunday in Kansas City.

To sum it all up, after a 13-1 record to start the season, it’s a reach to suggest that teams now have a blue-print with which to beat the Packers.  But, the Packers collectively played their worst game of the season by far.  It would be in their best interests to nip that in the bud right now and make their next two opponents (Bears & Lions) pay the price for what happened last week.

The Packers need to regain the momentum that they had, heading into the playoffs.
