The president of a Green Bay area community says they plan to revitalize after a massive fire devastated five buildings. Pulaski Village President Reed Woodward is hoping they can use this as a, “a starting point to rebuild the downtown.”
The fire started around 11 Friday night at the Wood Lanes bowling alley. Four other buildings were damaged: a consignment shop, an insurance company, a vacant bar and an apartment building. Woodward says they know three of them will have to be demolished and he fears the two others are damaged beyond repair.
The Pulaski fire department got plenty of help with 40 different departments battling the fire which, Woodward says, took 11 hours to get under control.
Investigators are trying to figure out what caused the blaze.
