“Every time I think the campaign can’t get any more interesting, it gets more interesting.” That was Governor Scott Walker’s reaction, on the news that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is endorsing Donald Trump‘s presidential campaign.
“The one thing I agree with my friend Chris on, is that as a Republican, it’s ultimately about making sure that there is a Republican elected president, for a whole variety of reasons,” Walker said Friday in Green Bay.

Christie, who suspended his presidential campaign after finishing sixth in the New Hampshire primary, announced he was throwing his support to Trump at a campaign rally in Fort Worth, Texas on Friday. “There is no one who is better prepared to provide America with strong leadership that it needs both at home and around the world than Donald Trump,” Christie said.
“We do know that Hillary Clinton would be a horrible mistake for America,” said Walker, who pulled the plug on his own presidential campaign last September after a little more than two months. “I think increasingly Americans, particularly young people, even amongst Democrats, that’s why there’s so many Bernie Sanders supporters out there, they realize you just can’t trust Hillary Clinton.”
Christie helped Walker in his 2012 recall election, traveling to the state to appear with Walker at fundraisers in Green Bay and Milwaukee. Walker said that he may not make any endorsement at all in the presidential race.
