Governor Scott Walker is being subpoenaed to testify in the trial of a former aide. The subpoena orders the governor to appear at the trial of Kelly Rindfleisch in Milwaukee next week, where she faces four counts of felony misconduct in public office.
Rindfleisch served as Walker’s deputy chief of staff while he was Milwaukee County executive, and is accused of doing campaign work for a candidate for lieutenant governor while she was on the job. The charges were filed as part of an ongoing John Doe investigation into the office, which has resulted in criminal charges against six people.
The governor has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
