Walker touts Wisconsin’s growing economy at a meeting of statewide group of business leaders.

Governor Scott Walker tells members of Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce in Madison that, since he took office 11,590 net new businesses were created. That exceeds his original promise of 10,000. Walker also cites the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia projections showing Wisconsin is number one in the nation in potential economic growth over the next six months.

Walker says that means the risk takers, entrepreneurs are feeling good about the economy here in Wisconsin.

Walker reiterates his pledge to help create 250,000 jobs in his first term, saying he is “still committed.” The governor tells business leaders to spread the good economic news. “I’m preaching to the choir because I want the choir to sing.”
