A Middleton developer has officially announced his plans to unseat US Senator Russ Feingold (D-Wisconsin). Terrence Wall believes lower taxes and fewer government regulations on business are the key to turning around unemployment, tight credit and real estate woes.

The Republican touted his experience in the private sector. “Unlike Washington I have created thousands of jobs. Unlike my opponent I have helped businesses throughout the state,” said Wall.

Wall adds Feingold claims to be independent but almost always sides with fellow Democrats like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Wall’s morning announcement came as voters in Massachusetts partake in a hotly contested special election to replace the late Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat. High profile figures like President Obama have stumped in that state for the Democratic candidate. Wall is not at all concerned that Obama will do the same in Wisconsin.

As he made the announcement in a Middleton industrial building, outside was a group of half dozen protestors accusing the multi-millionaire of dodging taxes. Wall responded to recent reports claiming he has not paid income tax to the state, four out of five years.

Wall is facing GOP primary opponent David Westlake, a small business owner from Watertown.
