Eric BaldwinFormer UW-Whitewater Warhawk baseball player Eric Baldwin, is providing light to the University’s baseball field.

Baldwin, a 2006 Whitewater graduate, joined the professional poker circuit and is using his psychology degree to win millions.  Baldwin is donating a portion of his winnings to UW-Whitewater.  The gift will provide Prucha Field with new lights and the ability to host the 2010 Midwest Regional competition of the Division III baseball national championship tournament.

Baldwin, a Beaver Dam native, was a starting right fielder and team captain.  He relocated to Las Vegas in 2008.

In 2009, the 26-year old Baldwin won four major tournaments, earning $1.5-million.  He now has career earnings of nearly $3-million since going pro four years ago.
