UW-Whitewater broke open a close game early in the second half and went on to beat Wabash College 38-14 at Perkins Stadium, advancing to the NCAA National Quarterfinals at noon Saturday against No. 5 Wartburg (Iowa).
The top ranked Warhawks improved to 12-0 and ran their win streak to 28 straight games.
Whitewater outgained Wabash 479 to 234 in total yards. Quarterback Matt Behrendt tossed a couple of interceptions early, but rebounded to pass for 299 yards and four touchdowns.
