The owner of a Wausau bar and an accomplice are facing major drug charges following a sting by police. Paradox Bar owner Scott Kurzynski, 44, and 43-year-old Tim Kleinschmidt face multiple drug counts in connection with a plan to traffic marijuana out of the bar.

Wausau police said Kurzynski made plans with an undercover informant in September to purchase high-grade marijuana for distribution at the bar, setting up contracts to bring in 100 pounds of marijuana a month over two years. While making the payments for the drugs, Kleinschmidt was caught leaving the exchange point and was later arrested at his home. A police search there turned up a number of other drugs and several ATMs with marijuana inside them that were used to transport drugs.

The two men are now being held on $250,000 cash bonds and will be back in court October 22 for preliminary hearings.
