It's been chillier than usual lately but that's about to change. Weather Central Meteorologist Brian Olson says this weekend was colder than normal for this time of year. The average temperature is 70 degrees but Saturday say highs of 56 and, 63 on Sunday. The lows were also a bit colder and outlying areas had some frost.

Olson says this next week starting Tuesday will be "fantastic" with highs no less than 70 degrees everyday. He expects that to continue until Memorial Day. As for the holiday weekend, Saturday and Sunday are predicted to be sunny and some showers may come in late Monday but should be clear for most of the parades.

The meteorologist expects the month of June to have normal temperatures. He says we haven't seen much thunderstorm activity so that will likely pick up next month.
