The UW-Whitewater Warhawks captured their second straight NCAA Division III football title and their third Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl in the last four years, beating Mount Union 31-21 on Saturday in Salem, Virginia.

Whitewater tailback Levell Coppage rushed for 299 yards on 39 carries, including a 75 yard touchdown run that sealed the deal for the Warhawks.

Mount Union went up 21-10 late in the second quarter, but the Warhawks defense put the clamps on and didn’t allow another point, on the way to their 30th straight win.
