The 45th-annual WIAA boys and the 14th-annual girls state hockey tournament opens today and runs through Saturday at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Madison.

Wausau West (20-4-3) vs. Appleton East Co-op (22-4-1) 7:15 p.m.
The winners meet on Friday’s semifinals at 5 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.. Saturday’s championship game faces off at 2:15 p.m.
