The death toll continues to climb from the severe winter weather that hit the state over the weekend. At least four deaths have now been reported around the state, following the aftermath of heavy snow and ice that blanketed much of Wisconsin.

In western Wisconsin, a 58-year-old River Falls man was killed when a metal shed collapsed on him due to heavy snow. The man was buried under rubble and about three feet of snow.

In St. Croix County, a 79-year-old Woodville man clearing his own driveway was struck and killed by a snowplow that was backing up.

In Central Wisconsin, Marshfield Police says a 37-year-old man died when his vehicle became stranded and he tried to walk home in the cold early Sunday morning.

Finally, a Chicago woman was killed Sunday when the vehicle she was a passenger in slipped off I-39 in Rock County and struck several trees.
