Governor Doyle says there's no time to waste when it comes to spending federal stimulus money.

Doyle says the plan is to get people to work as quickly as possible on "shovel ready" projects. He says the money is intended to get out to companies to get projects moving. The governor says much of the money will go towards highway and bridge projects across Wisconsin.

It's estimated Wisconsin will get $3.5 billion, under the stimulus bill President Obama is set to sign on Tuesday. Doyle figures it will create or save about 70,000 jobs in the state.
