A number of Wisconsinites are in the nation’s capital for a rally today calling for immigration reform. Among them is Kari Johnson who teaches English Language Learners at a Fort Atkinson grade school. She has around 60 ELL students, most of whom are from Mexico while a few hail from India, Albania, and China. She says a number of these immigrant students live in fear of deportation.
She plans on sharing the story of a certain student who has worked hard but will be limited under the current laws.
