For the first time since 1994, the  Wisconsin Badger  men's golf team has an individual qualified for the NCAA Men's Golf Championship May 30th through June 2 in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Although the team missed qualifying by one stroke, placing 12th at the NCAA Central Regional, sophomore Dan Woltman (Beaver Dam, Wis.) will compete as an individual in the 72-hole NCAA Championship after becoming UW's first regional medalist and advancing as one of six individuals.

Woltman is the first NCAA qualifier since Ben Walter in 1994.  He became UW's scoring leader this season averaging 73.31 this season which ranks fourth among all-time season scoring records.
