La Crosse passes data center moratorium (LA CROSSE)

Another data center moratorium advances. The La Crosse City council on Thursday approved a temporary block on any data centers entering the community. Numerous other Wisconsin communities have passed similar measures, including La Crosse County itself.

Rep. Krug calls for investigation after Milwaukee vote totals delayed on Tuesday (UNDATED)

A Republican lawmaker wants an investigation into an error that caused a delay in Milwaukee’s election returns. Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections Vice-Chair, Representative Scott Krug says he wants to eliminate doubt in elections security. Five of nine data sticks that should have contained vote totals from ballot counters instead were brought to Milwaukee’s central count location with the wrong files Tuesday night. The Milwaukee Elections Commission called it a human error and that no vote totals were compromised or delivered incorrectly. The Commission will deliver a report to the city council next week.
