Watch out for misleading voting mailers, says elections commission (MADISON)

State elections officials warn about those voter registration mailers you’re probably getting. Wisconsin Elections Commission administrator Meagan Wolfe says the mailers from groups such as “Civitech” or “Voter Participation Center” should not be trusted. Many of the mailings will look like an absentee ballot envelope or direct you to incorrect information on voting, registering to vote, or your current voting status. If you need any of this information you should instead check online at My Vote dot WI dot Gov for your local voting location and how to request a ballot.
